Is a public forum the best place to learn the information you seek?

Is a public forum a place to learn information anyone seeks????? I think we all post questions to get another point of view or take a piece of information we didn't know before but with that said it is our job to verify and make certain the information is correct. I post this because I'm sure there are accountants that view these forums that can direct me to a resource that will help with my question.
You are correct, this is not the "best" place but it is a place I visit often and thought I'd toss it out in case someone that is knowledgeable in this area could direct me to a resource.
