The market obviously likes what it thinks it has learned about the strike price of the Bernanke put. I certainly can't complain... today at least.

I cashed in everything and I am putting everything into Ethanol, Chinese Internet plays, and wrasslin' videos!

I read where helium supplies are getting tight. I'm gonna hoard balloons!

Great move, Blix!

Meanwhile, I am having trouble trying to figure out how to get this new, 72" plasma TV that I bought on store credit (at a lovely 27% APR) through my front door. I didn't need it, but I figured I could borrow against my 401(k) to get it.

No problem. Pull a HELOC and remodel! And pull some extra out for that Alaska cruise.

Kidding aside, yesterday's market action would have made a decent month for me. 2.3% up on an 78/22 st/bd portfolio. Largest single day move $-wise. And looks like healthy follow through today, so maybe it won't all be taken back immediately. Over the long haul, if it keeps us out of recession, allows the markets to settle, and doesn't drive inflation up drastically (not asking too much now am I) I will be satisfied with Chairman Ben's early performance.

I made some minor adjustments, but am overall satisfied with both my current portfolio and the market trend.

Its funny how the less speculative I've gotten in my old age; the more stable (yet positive) things seem overall. I need to go "Back to the Future" and smack my 20-year-old self upside the head.

Hey, I was trading sugar futures in Oct. of '87. Learned the real meaning of black swans and down limits at the open. Our experiences are golden.
