what do you guys think of these accounts. They offer a higher APR than just about anywhere.

the risk is if Ford goes bankrupt you would be high and dry.

Interesting...but,

You can earn the same or better rates with lower minimums using a Floating Rate mutual fund. Fidelity has a really good one, and there are a handful of others. Floating Rate MF underlying debts are Secured and Senior debts. They are backed by physical, appreciating hard assets of the company and are first (even before bonds/preferred stock) to be paid to creditors in the event of a bankruptcy. The risk of bankruptcy on your debt is also minimized by the diversification of the mutual fund risk being spread across many companies.

They feature a very stable share price (usually $10), but provide very nice annual yields.
