brokers money market rates

Looking for a broker. And a good place to park cash.

I see people say etrade has lots of hidden fees? What are they?
Do you think etrade is good with the 5.05 savings account?
Would you worry about etrade going under? And the hassle to get back from FDIC?

I cannot find out what scottrade pays? Does anyone know?

Would it be better to open a scottrade and park cash in the
VANGUARD MONEY MARKET RESERVES (VMMXX)

Any other suggestions?

scottrade does not have a money market account sweep feature so you would get like .5%.

trade king offers low broker fees and 5% money market sweep.

which is better you ask.
you need to ask yourself. how much money will you have sitting in the account? how often do you trade? how important is research to you? figure out what you need from a broker and from there you can look at the different stregthns and weaknesses
