SalemFiveDirect - eOne checking account

I've checked the link that Kiplinger provides to this online bank and the account seems too good to be true - 3.1% interest, only $100 opening balance, no account maintenance fees or other usual fees. I'm trying to think of a reason not to open an account with them. Am I missing something?
Or would a credit union account be better for some spare cash (about $6,000 that I want reasonably easy access to).
