View Full Version : Taxes and ID Theft

Missionzalbar
So it’s tax time again, with endless forms to fill and things to try to pass off as deductible expenses. I’ve just a question though: is tax time a better time for identity thieves or a worse one? Any tips for preventing that thievery?

Just look forward to your tax return and get that warm feeling you get when thinking about that cash. Oh, and the stimulus package. As for identity theft, it’s definitely a good time. Did you make sure your credit reports are all going to the right locations? If you’ve moved and forget to change your credit card billing addresses, that could be a life-killer should someone pick that stuff up. Some security services like trustedid offer creditlock to make sure your reports aren’t going anywhere else but you in addition to the usual credit monitoring. Frankly speaking, tax time is less burdensome if you have less to worry about.
