Does anyone have an idea what is going to happen to a lot of people my age (54) who did not save up cash or buy a house etc. when we have to retire? We thought social security would be our mainstay because that was the mindset as we grew up. There are millions of us who have almost no assets. I would like to know what an expert thinks will happen, not just the general doomsday remarks I read in the media.
