Hi Guys,

Do we really need to spend money to have a home inspection?

Well, I believe that its worth to spend money for home inspection. It’s not only the home inspection seeks out any defects, the home inspector can give you tips on maintaining and renovating your house. A good home inspector will find out some things you need to know about before you buy the property.

what do you think guys?

You have repeated the phrase "home inspection" about 10 times in your message. Nice try :p

i just paid for one on a forclosed home and think its worth it...its like a carfax and a used car....i rather pay the lower price now and find a problem and then discover it later

Usually they check for any pre existing damage (water leaking in, walls or ceilings developing cracks is a sign they look for too) and pest problems. If asked, or on a more detailed home inspection, they check sewer lines as well to make sure tree roots have not grown into them or broken them.

If for nothing else, it's worth it for the peace of mind.
