I recently filled out the fafsa. My husband and 2 children draw ss benefits. That has caused my efc to be outrageous and now she is not eligable for the pell grant and some of the other grants. Why is it they do not ask for your monthly expenses when figuring your efc? We are in no way financial able to pay the total cost of college. Is there any way to reduce the efc?:confused: :confused:
