Bond Mutual Fund Investing

Hello,

I am planning on retiring in about 5 years. I currently have my retirement money in a money market mutual fund and I was thinking I should move it to a bond mutual fund to increase my returns.

My question is... Given my investment goal is this a good time to invest in a bond mutual fund eventhough interest rates are low and are likely to rise in the coming months?

VANGUARD GNMA

I would not choose a treasury bond fund but a GNMA fund or a short or intermediate corp bond fund would be good for you. I am a big fan of Vanguard. Go to thier web site and check out their funds.
