Paying tax can be a complex task sometimes. Is everyone here paying tax correctly all the time? I'm not asking if you're cheating or not; I'm simply asking if you are paying tax while you comply with all laws and regulations assuming that you intend to file tax properly without any cheating. Does anyone have any tax screw up story? Some kind of misunderstanding or mismanagement?

Are you kidding? With the complexity of the tax code - even Pres. Bush had a mistake in his tax return. (and he didn't even do it - it was professionally done)
Does anybody in this forum even claim to fully understand the tax code in its entirety? . . . hardly
The ambiguity of the tax code, the references in the code, and the language in which it was written has evolved into a joke. People at the IRS don't even understand it. People trained by the IRS still make mistakes today when they are asked questions in which clients are given the wrong information.
The solution? . . . what do you think?

How many hours a week do we spend reading the sports pages?? Most men
can quote stats on batting averages and ERA's for hours!! The secret is to
study the laws..We will all be filing until we die so we might as well learn the laws and try and get the best breaks we can. They list the new changes every year so once you get it down all you have to do is make the minor adjustments. ANYTIME YOU HAVE NOTHING TO READ GRAB LAST YEARS TAX BOOK, ORDER PUBLICATIONS FROM THE NET OR SIMPLY DOWNLOAD THEM ANY TIME THEY ARE REFERRED TO IN THE 1040 B00K..you might not believe this but the more you learn the less fear you have and it is kind of fun to
be the only guy in the bar who knows how to handle your W-4...
