1. Making a reservation on the phone or in person
Fee: $5-$25

2. Re-banking frequent flyer miles
Fee: $50-100

3. Cashing in frequent flyer miles without sufficient advance notice
Fee: $0-100

4. Bringing a pet onboard in the cabin
Fee: $50-100 (each way)

5. Checking luggage
Fee: $3-25 (each way)

6. Getting a refund when a fare goes down
Fee: $25 to $200 or more.

7. Flying standby on the same day of travel.
Fee: $0-50.

8. Paying for lap children
Fee: $10 to 10% of the adult fare (international flights).

9. Getting a seat assignment
Fee: $5-$11 each way

It really winds me up when i see these charges, i would'nt mind half as much if the airline would actually let us know what we had to pay and not advertise a really cheap price when the actual price is often four times the advertised one. :mad:

These hidden fees drive me nuts (Ryan Air is very good at hiding them). EU Commission now demands that the total amount is to be displayed on the front page, we're lucky in Europe

I absolutely hate online hidden airline fees. I always try to thoroughly investigate the fees that are charged before getting a ticket. It can be quite frustrating when you have to deal with customer service on top of that. What happened to airlines?
