If you think that getting up early and standing in line at the store with the best prices is the best way to score Black Friday deals, you'll be surprised that this is one of the worst ways to get what you want. There are a lot of tricks to getting the best deal (http://www.pfadvice.com/2006/11/12/black-friday-tricks-to-outsmart-the-competition/) (some of which many of us would consider unethical)
I am surprised at the extent people will go like hiding items in different areas of the store and bribing friends that work retail to get what they want. I guess the linen department of the store among the curtains, sheets, bed spreads, etc is where many people hide these items. Just amazing to me.
I think that if I was to participate, I would do it by computer. Then I could shop without the crowds. But in the end, I just don't need the stuff that is being sold that day for the most part so it isn't worth the time or trouble to go and participate.
