I received my year-end statement from Dodge & Cox last week. I had IRA money in three of their funds, and due to poor performance rolled it over to a different custodian at the end of last year. The Dodge & Cox Ira Plan PDF states "The Custodian charges an annual maintenance fee of $12.50 per IRA owner." My statement, however, showed that I had been charged $12.50 per account or a total of $37.50 for the three accounts. I called Dodge & Cox today and they readily agreed to refund $25 to the new custodian. Still, I'm wondering if others have had this experience in 2008 weather or not they have transferred money out of Dodge & Cox funds?
