View Full Version : Business Loan

I'm thinking about taking out a business loan to start a web-based business - software programming. The money would be spent to buy the IDE (Visual Studio 2005), server space, templates, and advertisement. Is this possible? Has anyone ever taken out a business loan for a website business?

I have never heard of business loans for web-based business...Not at least officially...You will be lucky if u get one on this. But alternatively you can take it for putting up a software development center. Hey wait a minute you may get a loan from Meridian Finance caz my neighbor has got loan from there last week for small work. if they can get you can also. If you want, you can contact them in internet Meridianlendersonline.com Just contact them lets hope for the best. Best of luck

Whether web-based or bricks-and-mortar, a business loan would depend on how strongly the bank feels your plan is worthy, how strong your personal credit is (because you will be asked to personally guarantee the loan), and what collateral you can provide.
Been there, done that.

Your credit standing is also given attention on this kind of a loan. Somehow, if you had a collateral, no worries for a capital.
Just try to approach your prospected banks or funding institutions for better.
Good luck.

Yes, you could get a loan for an internet business, but it might be hard. It doesn't sound like you need that large of a loan - you might investigate using a credit card, getting a well-to-do friend to invest in your business or other options.

Here are a couple of excellent resources to start with:

Your idea is interesting but i don't think you should worry about this just because you have a specific area for your new business. These grants are approved for any reliable project, you need to get a good plan for your business and the rest is just a matter if time. There are great supportive financial programs for this.

When you say "grand," are you saying they give away thousands, or did you mean monetary aid?
Either way, this is blatant spam (albeit misspelled spam).

Not to be too nosy, but what kind of money are we talking here. You can get signature loans with your bank if you're just talking about a few thousand dollars. Heck, you can get super low apr credit cards that you could use, which might be smarter than getting a Small business loan. Just spit balling here.
