I have found a great deal of information readily available on the subject of saving money for children's educational expenses, but what about saving for one's own educational expenses?
I am nearly 30, have a great job, and while I am not sure I will ever want children, I am certain that someday I will want my Ph.D. Does anyone know what kind of tax advantaged savings plans are available to me?
I am primarily interested to know what plans are available and where I can read more about them, but I'd also love to hear from anyone with experience in the matter, especially regarding the subjects below:
What tax advantaged plans are available to someone planning to use the money for his/her own graduate studies?
What are the income limits for contributing to educational savings plans?
What are the maximum contributions?
What kind of restrictions are there on disbursement?
Can money from tax advantaged educational savings plans be used at universities overseas?
Can money from tax advantaged educational savings plans be used to cover living expenses while a full time student?
How will educational savings affect my financial aid situation when applying for graduate study?
