OK, you're retired. You decide to look at your brokerage statement after 50 years of avoiding it and find out that the penny stock you bought all that time ago (penny, because that was about all you had back then...) has now grown in value so much so that you'd kick the bucket before you could count all the zeros.

So now, you have a decision to make. The first thing you go out and buy is......???

Puck
A house! (<---------- says the girl eyeing her paltry preapproval letter amount, and all the pretty pretty houses outside that amount)

My first decision would be how quickly could I get to the phone to sell that thing!

jacobtho
I would go with the house, but on the top of the list is a cruise down the Adriatic, starting at Venice...

Whaaaa???? Do people still make trades by PHONE?????

*gasp*

Wow....

I guess my age is showing. Hey at least I traded in the rotary dialer and moved into the touch tone age.

Maybe my first decision would be to buy that Long Term Care insurance policy I'll probably need before too long. :)

Puck
Well...you can trade through your Web Apps on your cell phone!

blixet
Uhhh... about that....

Am I the only one that doesn't own a cell phone?

domingo3
blixet,
No, you're not the only one without a cell phone. My dad, for instance, doesn't have one. He'd save money if he did, though. I've got a $20 phone and once a year, I buy $100 worth of minutes. That's cheaper than land line service.

...and playing along with the game, the first thing I'd buy is plane tickets for me and my family. Maybe Thailand, maybe Laos. I wouldn't bring them there on a budget just yet (the kids are 1 and 2), but if money is no object, we can stay in the 5 star hotels and get very clean food for them.

Nathaniel
well, I think I'd buy a house at Pittsburgh (my dream house)... and honestly, I'm gonna give a part of it to to some Charity or Home Care services for the elderly...

woullard
a really fast car, as in Ferrari or BMW M6. Maybe even a few. But thats just me

I'd buy a senator, or become a senator. Scary thought eh Puck?

clydewolf
Apparently Senators and Representatives are FOR SALE!
