I am in the military, and due to be getting out this coming summer. I am making my resume to start sending out, and I have a question about the education part. I have started an online college (columbia college) to work towards getting bachelors of business management with a focus on accounting. I am about half way to my degree, but have taken a breather from my on line courses for now. I plan to use my GI bill to finish when I am out of the military. On my resume, should I list this schooling under the education part? Should I list it as currently attending, even though I am taking a breather? Thanks for all the helpful answers.

If you intend to return, I would list your anticipated date of graduation in place of your date of graduation, and make sure you put it as "anticipated".
Then list the coursework you've taken, in language that makes sense -- for example, the class might be called "Analyzing Numbers The Right Way", but it is commonly known as "Statistics", so call it "Statistics". Sometimes, the coursework can be just as impressive.
If you have only taken your core (required) classes, then you can list them generally -- classes in writing, argumentation, American history, Spanish language (reading, writing and speaking), chemistry, blah blah blah.
If you are substantially along in your degree -- say, halfway or better, you can list the number of hours achieved -- "90 of 120 hours achieved". If your GPA is good, list it, too -- GPA of 3.76.
And if the day ever comes where you decide you are NOT going to complete your degree, alter that section to say you have "courses toward a degree in Blah Blah Blah", and change the anticipated graduation date to the last date you attended.
