Donating Timeshares to Charity
With the economy in the tank, many people are finding that they are stuck with a timeshare that they don't have the time or money to visit, but are still stuck with yearly fees. One way to get rid of your timeshare is to donate your timeshare to charity. There are quite a few charities that want donated timeshares.
Unfortunately, charities will not take every timeshare. It does need to be completely paid off, in a good location with a good time slot. The charities want to sell the timeshare as quickly as possible and they know which timeshares don't sell well (and they don't want to be stuck with the yearly maintenance fees). Still, if you are looking for a quick and easy way to get rid of a timeshare (since the charity will take care of all the paperwork), it might be something to consider. |
