Is AuditDefense worth it?

I used TurboTax to do my taxes this year. I did have larger than usual (for me) medical expenses and I ended up itemizing this year instead of taking the standard deduction as I normally do. I'm wondering if it is worth the money to get the "Audit Defense" offered by TurboTax for $39.95. In the event of an audit then I would have some representation, but whose to say that they would be any good in assisting me through the process. I read of one person's bad experience with them, but I'm wondering if there are other opinions out there.

My advice is to skip the $39 legal representation. There is a 99% chance that you will end up paying for absolutely nothing anyway.

You are reading about others' bad experiences with this, because nobody can truthfully expect to have any sort of real legal representation pertaining to any legal matter, for only $39.99.

If you ever need legal representation due to a possible IRS audit at some future date, then you should interview several professionals in this field, and you should hire the one that you feel most comfortable with at that time.
