Socially responsible funds
Good afternoon-- we have a young lady, 27, in our office (local government) that was going to start investing in our 401(a) until she looked at our options and found there were no socially responsible funds available. So she decided not to participate and was forgoing the 3% employer match as well. I've talked her into putting money in a money market, at least for now, so she can get the match.
I also told her she could open an IRA and then buy any funds she wants to buy. She's willing to do that but doesn't know any of the socially responsible ones. Neither do I. If anyone has a recommendation where to start with this, please advise. Thanks Mike |

Go to the Mutual Funds page and it gives you a rather comprehensive listing. You are going to have to do your homework on how Socially Responsible these funds actually are, but that should help you a bit. Kenneth Besada Insurance/Financial Solutions EMAIL: Kbesada@FarmersAgent.com |
