Starting a SEP-IRA Need Help

I am small business owner in the healthcare field that is looking to start a SEP-IRA. My CPA advised me to go to their person at Morgan Stanley. At morgan stanley they said I should invest in mutual funds from American Funds. My question is should I invest with Morgan Stanley & American Funds or start a SEP-IRA with Vanguard, or T-rowe price etc and invest in a target retirement fund like 2045. My feeling is if I went with Vanguard or one of the others I would save money on the expense ratio, have a no load fund and I wouldnt pay commision to the Morgan Stanley rep. Thanks for your help.
